Mark S. Dunston currently serves as the Deputy Chief for a law enforcement agency on the Gulf Coast.  Beginning his career in 1984, Mark has served in several capacities including patrol, narcotics, investigations, SWAT, SWAT Command, Academy Director and Executive.  Mark is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the PERF/Harvard Senior Management Program.  He has trained and lectured  more than 40,000 federal and local law enforcement, security and military professionals from all fifty United States, US Territories, Hong Kong, China, Canada, and Brazil in areas of use of force, operational tactics and organizational leadership.  Mark has appeared numerous times as a content expert on the Law Enforcement Television Network and the Professional Security Training Network, as well as ABC, NBC and Fox affiliates to discuss law enforcement and security issues.

Mark has provided security protocol and use of force training for security management personnel at several major casinos.   Mark is often retained as an expert witness throughout the United States in both Federal and State Courts on law enforcement, security and premises liability issues including use of force, standard/duty of care, policy and procedures,  and vehicle pursuits.  He is also a widely published author and researcher on those topics.
